Ingredients
  

  • 4 whole Strawberries Fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon Water To blend strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon Honey Or maple syrup optional
  • ½ cup Milk Dairy oat, or almond
  • 1 teaspoon Matcha Powder Ceremonial grade preferred
  • ¼ cup Hot Water Not boiling 175°F/80°C
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract Optional enhances flavor
  • ½ cup Ice Cubes For an iced version

Equipment

  • 1 Blender For strawberry puree
  • 1 Fine-mesh strainer Optional, for smooth puree
  • 1 Bamboo Matcha Whisk (Chasen)Or a milk frother
  • 1 Measuring spoons For precise ingredient ratios
  • 1 Clear Glass To showcase layers

Method
 

  1. Puree strawberries with water and honey. Strain if needed.
  2. Sift matcha, whisk with hot water until frothy.
  3. Stir strawberry puree with milk in a glass.
  4. Fill glass with ice cubes (if making iced version).
  5. Slowly pour matcha over the back of a spoon for layers.
  6. Stir before drinking or enjoy layered.
