Ingredients

  • 4 whole Strawberries - Fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon Water - To blend strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon Honey - Or maple syrup optional
  • ½ cup Milk - Dairy oat, or almond
  • 1 teaspoon Matcha Powder - Ceremonial grade preferred
  • ¼ cup Hot Water - Not boiling 175°F/80°C
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract - Optional enhances flavor
  • ½ cup Ice Cubes - For an iced version

Instructions 

  • Puree strawberries with water and honey. Strain if needed.
  • Sift matcha, whisk with hot water until frothy.
  • Stir strawberry puree with milk in a glass.
  • Fill glass with ice cubes (if making iced version).
  • Slowly pour matcha over the back of a spoon for layers.
  • Stir before drinking or enjoy layered.
