  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened for frosting
  • 4 tablespoon butter Softened for frosting
  • 2 cups powdered sugar For frosting

Method
 

  1. Whisk melted butter and sugar; beat in eggs, vanilla, food coloring, and vinegar.
  2. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  3. Bake in lined 8x8 pan at 350°F for 25-30 minutes; cool completely.
  4. Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
  5. Spread frosting over cooled brownies and slice into squares.

Notes

Use gel food coloring for the brightest red color. Ensure brownies are completely cool before frosting to prevent melting.
