Margarita Base
  • 2 oz Silver tequila Use good-quality blanco tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau or triple sec Adds orange flavor
  • 2 oz White cranberry juice Must be white, not red cranberry juice
  • 1.5 oz Unsweetened coconut milk Not cream of coconut
  • 1 oz Fresh lime juice Use freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon Simple syrup Adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes For shaking and serving
Rim & Garnish
  • 2 tablespoon Granulated sugar For rimming glass
  • 1 tablespoon White sanding sugar Adds sparkle to rim
  • 1 Lime wedge For rimming glass
  • 5 Fresh cranberries For garnish
  • 1 sprig Fresh rosemary For garnish
  • 1 slice Lime wheel Optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Combine sugars, rim glass with lime, and dip for a frosted edge.
  2. Add tequila, Cointreau, juice, coconut milk, lime juice, and syrup to shaker.
  3. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds.
  4. Pour into sugar-rimmed glass with fresh ice.
  5. Top with cranberries and rosemary sprig for a festive look.
