Equipment

  • 1 Muddler or spoon (For gently muddling mint and lime)
  • 1 Tall glass (Highball or Collins style preferred)
  • 1 Bar spoon or straw (For stirring the drink)
  • 1 Paper towel (For drying mint)
  • 1 Small knife (To cut limes and garnish)
  • 1 Citrus squeezer (Optional, for juicing lime easily)

Ingredients

  • 10 Mint leaves - Fresh only, not dried
  • 2 Lime wedges - For muddling
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice - Freshly squeezed preferred
  • 1–2 teaspoon Sugar or syrup - Use simple syrup or raw sugar
  • 1 cup Crushed ice - Fill glass nearly to the top
  • 1 cup Sparkling water - Or club soda
  • 1 slice Lime wheel - For garnish
  • 1 sprig Mint - For garnish
  • 1 pinch Sea salt - Optional, enhances hydration

Instructions 

  • Gently wash and pat dry fresh mint leaves. Remove thick stems and count 8–10 leaves per drink.

  • Add mint, lime wedges, and sugar/syrup to a tall glass. Muddle gently with a wooden spoon.
  • Fill glass with crushed ice, pour in lime juice, and top slowly with sparkling water.

  • Add mint sprig and lime wheel. Insert a straw and serve immediately while fizzy.
