Ingredients

  • 3 large Overripe bananas - Mashed
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter - Melted
  • ¾ cup Granulated sugar - White
  • 1 large Egg - Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract - Pure
  • 1 ½ cups All-purpose flour - Sifted
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda - Fresh
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt - Fine
  • 2 tablespoon Strawberry puree - For color
  • ¼ cup Heart sprinkles - Pink and white

Instructions 

  • Mash the bananas in a bowl and stir in the melted butter until the mixture is uniform.
  • Whisk in the sugar, egg, and vanilla until the batter becomes smooth and slightly pale.
  • Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt, then stir gently until just combined.
  • Remove one cup of batter and stir in the strawberry puree and pink gel coloring.
  • Layer the plain and pink batters into a greased pan and swirl with a skewer.
  • Press heart sprinkles across the top of the batter before placing the pan in the oven.
  • Bake at 350°F for 55 minutes until a skewer comes out clean from the center.
  • Cool the loaf completely on a wire rack before slicing to ensure the marble stays distinct.

Notes

Use very overripe, spotted bananas for the best flavor and sweetness. Avoid over-mixing the batter to ensure the bread stays light and airy.
