Method

  2. Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with solid ice cubes to prepare for the heavy chilling process.
  3. Shake the mixture vigorously for fifteen seconds until the metal exterior becomes thoroughly frosted and cold.
  4. Strain the dark crimson liquid through a Hawthorne strainer into a highball glass packed with fresh ice.
  5. Combine the heavy whipping cream and pure vanilla extract inside a small, tightly sealed glass jar.
  6. Shake the jar gently for thirty seconds until the cream expands into a thickened, pourable foam consistency.
  7. Pour the thickened vanilla cream slowly over the back of a dinner spoon onto the cocktail surface.
  8. Place a single fresh sweet cherry gently onto the white foam layer and serve cold immediately.

Notes
