Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries - Hulled and sliced
  • cup granulated sugar - For strawberry syrup
  • ¼ cup water - For syrup base
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice - Fresh squeezed
  • 4 black tea bags - Or 4 teaspoon loose tea
  • 2 cups hot water - 200°F for brewing
  • 2 tablespoons sugar - For tea sweetening
  • ½ cup whole milk - Or heavy cream
  • ¼ cup cooked tapioca pearls - Optional
  • ice cubes - For serving

Instructions 

  • Simmer strawberries into syrup
  • Steep tea strong, sweeten
  • Cook tapioca pearls
  • Layer syrup, ice, tea, milk

Notes

Use fresh ripe strawberries for best flavor. You can substitute plant-based milk if desired. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less sugar.
