  • 1 cup fresh strawberries Hulled and sliced
  • cup granulated sugar For strawberry syrup
  • ¼ cup water For syrup base
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Fresh squeezed
  • 4 black tea bags Or 4 teaspoon loose tea
  • 2 cups hot water 200°F for brewing
  • 2 tablespoons sugar For tea sweetening
  • ½ cup whole milk Or heavy cream
  • ¼ cup cooked tapioca pearls Optional
  • ice cubes For serving

Method
 

  1. Simmer strawberries into syrup
  2. Steep tea strong, sweeten
  3. Cook tapioca pearls

Notes

Use fresh ripe strawberries for best flavor. You can substitute plant-based milk if desired. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more or less sugar.
