Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 ¼ tsp
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup warm milk 110°F
  • ¼ cup butter Melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened
  • cup granulated sugar For filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries Diced small
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar For glaze
  • 3-4 tablespoons milk For glaze
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract For glaze

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl For dough preparation
  • 9x13-inch baking pan For baking rolls
  • Rolling Pin For rolling dough
  • Small saucepan For cooking strawberry mixture
  • Kitchen towel For covering during rising

Method
 

  1. Drizzle over warm rolls for best absorption
  2. Cook - Strawberry mixture with cornstarch, fold into cream cheese
  3. Roll - Dough into rectangle, spread filling, roll and cut
  4. Proof - Place in pan, rise 45 minutes until puffy
  5. Bake - 25-30 minutes at 350°F until golden brown
  6. Cool - 10 minutes while making glaze with powdered sugar
  7. Glaze - Drizzle over warm rolls for best absorption
  8. Serve - While warm for most gooey, beautiful presentation

Notes

These strawberry cinnamon rolls are a beautiful twist on a classic favorite. For best results, serve warm and refrigerate leftovers. Reheat slightly before serving again.
