Sonic Dirty Soda (Dr Pepper Copycat)

A refreshing, creamy, and fizzy drink made with Dr Pepper, coconut cream, and lime. Inspired by Utah’s famous soda shops and the popular Sonic dirty soda!

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups Dr Pepper Chilled
  • ¼ cup Coconut cream Use thick cream from top of canned coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoon Lime juice Freshly squeezed
  • 2 cups Ice Large cubes work best
  • 1 wedge Lime For garnish
Optional Garnishes
  • vanilla syrup Adds sweetness and depth
  • fresh coconut flakes For garnish
  • cherry Classic Sonic style

Equipment

  • 2 Tall glasses (16–20 oz) For serving the dirty soda
  • 1 Citrus juicer For squeezing fresh lime juice
  • 1 Spoon For gentle stirring
  • 1 Ice cube tray Use large cubes to slow dilution
  • 1 Measuring cups For precise ingredient ratios

Method
 

  1. Spoon coconut cream into bottom of glass.
  2. Add ice cubes to the top.
  3. Slowly pour chilled Dr Pepper over the ice.
  4. Squeeze in fresh lime juice.
  5. Swirl gently once or twice to mix.
  6. Add lime wedge and serve immediately.
