Soft & Sweet Condensed Milk Bread

A pillowy soft, slightly sweet loaf of bread enriched with sweetened condensed milk and butter. Perfect for breakfast toast or pull-apart rolls.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Bread flour Spoon and leveled
  • ½ cup Sweetened condensed milk Thick
  • ¾ cup Milk Warm (110°F)
  • 1 large Egg Room temp
  • 2 teaspoon Instant yeast Active dry works too
  • ¼ cup Butter Softened
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Granulated
  • ½ teaspoon Salt Fine grain

Equipment

  • 1 Loaf pan 9x5 inch
  • 1 Stand mixer Recommended
  • 1 Pastry brush For glazing

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast with warm milk and sugar for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, condensed milk, egg, and yeast mixture until shaggy.
  3. Add butter and salt; knead for 10-15 minutes until elastic.
  4. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Divide into 3-4 balls and place in a greased loaf pan. Let rise again for 45 mins.
  6. Brush with egg wash and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Brush with melted butter immediately after removing from oven.

Notes

Brush with melted butter immediately after baking for a soft, shiny crust. Use bread flour for the best chewy texture.
