Method
- Activate yeast with warm milk and sugar for 5 minutes.
- Mix flour, condensed milk, egg, and yeast mixture until shaggy.
- Add butter and salt; knead for 10-15 minutes until elastic.
- Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled.
- Divide into 3-4 balls and place in a greased loaf pan. Let rise again for 45 mins.
- Brush with egg wash and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
- Brush with melted butter immediately after removing from oven.
Notes
Brush with melted butter immediately after baking for a soft, shiny crust. Use bread flour for the best chewy texture.
