- Combine breadcrumbs and milk; soak 5 minutes.
- Add beef, egg, onions, garlic, and seasonings; roll into balls.
- Sear all sides in hot skillet; remove and set aside.
- Cook onions (and mushrooms) in butter until soft.
- Stir flour into onions; cook 1 minute.
- Whisk in broth, Worcestershire, ketchup, and Dijon.
- Add meatballs back; cover and cook 15–20 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning and serve over mashed potatoes.
