Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 1 packet Brooks chili seasoning
  • 2 medium onions Diced
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced
  • 2 cans kidney beans 15 oz each
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes 14.5 oz each
  • 1 can tomato sauce 15 oz
  • 2 cups beef broth
Toppings:
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 stalks green onions
  • 1 whole avocado

Equipment

  • 1 Dutch oven 6-quart or larger
  • 1 Wooden spoon For stirring
  • 1 Strainer For beans

Method
 

Step 1: Prep Base
  1. Brown beef in Dutch oven
  2. Drain excess fat
  3. Add onions, cook until soft
Step 2: Add Seasoning
  1. Add garlic
  2. Stir in Brooks seasoning
  3. Toast spices for 30 seconds
Step 3: Simmer
  1. Add tomatoes, sauce, broth
  2. Add beans
  3. Simmer covered
  4. Rest 10 minutes before serving
