Ingredients
  

For Tart:
  • 1 sheet Frozen puff pastry Thawed overnight or at room temperature
  • 3-4 meduim Fresh apples Honeycrisp or Granny Smith thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoon Granulated sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Unsalted melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Optional for extra flavor
  • ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon Optional for warm spice notes
  • 1 pinch Salt Balances sweetness
For Glaze:
  • 2 tablespoon Apricot jam or honey Warmed for glazing
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice Optional for brightness
  • 1 teaspoon Water To thin the glaze
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered sugar optional For dusting before serving

Method
 

Preparation:
  1. Thaw puff pastry overnight in the refrigerator or at room temperature for 2 hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Apple Preparation:
  1. Core and thinly slice apples (¼-inch thickness).
  2. Toss apple slices with: Lemon juice/Pinch of salt/Cinnamon/Sugar
Assembly Steps:
  1. Roll the puff pastry slightly and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Score a 1-inch border around the edges of the puff pastry (do not cut through).
  3. Arrange apple slices in overlapping rows or a spiral pattern within the scored border.
  4. Brush melted butter over the apples and pastry edges.
  5. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Baking:
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden and puffed, and the apples are tender.
  2. While the tart bakes, warm apricot jam (or honey) with water and lemon juice to create the glaze.
  3. Remove the tart from the oven and brush the warm glaze over the apples.
Cooling & Serving:
  1. Let the tart cool slightly before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
