Ingredients
  

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough 13.8 oz
  • 1 lb ground beef 85% lean
  • ½ onion Diced
  • 1 ½ cups pizza sauce Or marinara
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • ½ cup pepperoni Sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon butter Melted, for crust
  • 1 handful fresh basil Garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Press pizza dough into a greased 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet; drain fat and season with garlic and Italian herbs.
  3. Spread beef over the dough, top with pizza sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni.
  4. Brush crust edges with melted butter and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Drain the ground beef thoroughly before adding it to the pie to prevent a soggy bottom crust. Let the pie rest for 10 minutes after baking for clean slices.
