  • 1 tablespoon Smoked paprika - Adds rich, smoky depth
  • 1 can (28 oz) Crushed tomatoes - Base for sauce
  • 2 cups Vegetable broth - Adjust for sauce thickness
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste - Adds richness
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce - For umami depth
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano - Optional for herbal note
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • 2 cups Elbow macaroni - Or other small pasta

Garnish

Instructions 

  • Cook onion, garlic, bell peppers, carrots, and mushrooms until tender.
  • Stir in both paprikas for 30 seconds to release flavor.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes, broth, tomato paste, soy sauce, and seasonings.
  • Cook for 10 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Stir in uncooked pasta and ensure it’s submerged.
  • Simmer until pasta is tender and sauce thickens, about 12–15 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley and optional cheese or nutritional yeast.
