Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet or Dutch Oven (With lid, for one-pot cooking)
  • 1 Wooden spoon (For stirring beef and pasta)
  • 1 Sharp knife (To dice onion and bell pepper)
  • 1 Can opener (For opening canned tomatoes/sauce)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 Onion - Large, diced
  • 1 Bell pepper - Diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic - Minced
  • 1 can Tomato sauce - (15 oz)
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes - (14.5 oz)
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 2 cups Elbow macaroni - Uncooked
  • 2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions 

  • Heat large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  • Brown ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks; season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and bell pepper; cook until soft. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute.
  • Stir in tomato paste; cook 2 minutes. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, broth, and seasonings.
  • Bring to a boil. Add macaroni, stir, cover, and simmer 12–15 minutes until pasta is tender.
  • Stir in cheese until melted. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
