Ingredients

Apple Layer

  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples - peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Pudding Layer

  • 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz each)
  • 3 cups whole milk, cold
  • 1 container Cool Whip, thawed (8 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Assembly

  • 1 box graham crackers (14.4 oz)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce - plus extra for drizzling
  • powdered sugar - optional, for dusting

Instructions 

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat until foaming.
  • Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook 8–10 minutes, stirring until tender but not mushy.
  • Stir in lemon juice, remove from heat, and let apples cool completely.
  • Whisk pudding mix with cold milk for 2 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes to thicken.
  • Gently fold in Cool Whip and vanilla until smooth. Chill pudding mixture.
  • In 9x13 dish, layer graham crackers, half pudding, half apples, and caramel drizzle. Repeat layers.
  • Top with final graham cracker layer, drizzle with caramel, cover, and refrigerate at least 4
