- Layer half the bread in a greased 9x13 dish; top with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese.
- Top with remaining bread slices. Whisk eggs, dairy, mustard, and spices; pour over bread.
- Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes (or overnight). Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Bake covered for 30 minutes; uncover and bake 15-20 mins until golden and set.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve with warm preserves or syrup.
Notes
Use day-old bread for better absorption. Don't skip the Dijon mustard for authentic flavor. Serve with warm raspberry jam.
