Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Coconut rum Malibu or similar
  • 1.5 oz Coconut cream Or cream of coconut for richness
  • 2 oz Pineapple juice Fresh if possible
  • 0.5 oz Lime juice Freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 oz Simple syrup Adjust to taste
  • 1.5 oz Blue curaçao For color and flavor
  • 1 oz Vodka Helps create separation layer
  • 1 splash Sprite or soda For fizz and floating layer
  • Edible glitter Optional for shimmer
  • Blue sugar Mixed with coarse salt for rimming
  • Sea salt For rimming
  • Pineapple wedge Garnish
  • Lime wheel Garnish
  • Paper umbrella For tropical flair
  • Crushed ice Essential for layering and texture

Equipment

  • 1 Bar spoon For layering the blue curaçao without mixing
  • 2 Tall glasses Hurricane or Collins glasses preferred
  • 1 Jigger For accurate measuring of liquids
  • 1 Small bowl For mixing the sugar and salt rim
  • 1 Cocktail strainer Optional if pre-mixing in a shaker or bowl

Method
 

  1. Rim a tall glass with lime juice, then dip in a mix of blue sugar and sea salt. Fill with crushed ice and set aside to chill.

  2. In a shaker or bowl, combine coconut rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Pour gently into glass, filling ⅔ full.

  3. Mix blue curaçao, vodka, Sprite, and lime juice. Slowly pour over a bar spoon to float the blue layer on top, forming a gradient.

  4. Sprinkle edible glitter, garnish with pineapple wedge, lime wheel, and paper umbrella. Serve immediately with straws.
