Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef - 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio for optimal juiciness
  • 1 package Lipton Onion Soup Mix - 1-ounce package
  • 1 cup Plain breadcrumbs - Fresh preferred over dried
  • 1 large Eggs - Room temperature
  • ¾ cup Whole milk - Room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce - For umami depth
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper - Freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder - Optional for extra flavor

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup Ketchup - Room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar - Light or dark
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow mustard - Adds tanginess
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce - Optional for depth

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Line loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal
  • Combine ground beef, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, and milk in large bowl
  • Mix gently with hands until just combined (don't overmix)
  • Transfer mixture to prepared pan
  • Shape into even loaf (don't pack too tightly)
  • Make shallow depression along top
  • Mix glaze ingredients in small bowl
  • Spread half the glaze over meatloaf
  • Bake for 45 minutes
  • Add remaining glaze
  • Continue baking 15 minutes
  • Check internal temperature (160°F)
  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing
