These Kings Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish rolls are the ultimate easy breakfast hack. Soft sweet rolls are hollowed out and filled with a rich, creamy cheesecake custard, then baked until golden and dusted with powdered sugar.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls 12 count
  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened
  • cup granulated sugar For filling
  • 1 egg yolk For richness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Flavor
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice For tang
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter Melted
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar For dusting

Equipment

  • 1 Baking dish 9x13 inch
  • 1 Hand mixer For smooth filling
  • 1 Piping bag Or ziplock bag
  • 1 Pastry brush For butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut a small circle in the top of each roll and press down to create a well.
  2. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, vanilla, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Pipe or spoon the filling generously into the center of each roll.
  4. Brush the bread edges with melted butter.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until filling is set and rolls are golden.
  6. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese to ensure a smooth, lump-free filling. Do not cut all the way through the bottom of the rolls to prevent leaks.
