Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut a small circle in the top of each roll and press down to create a well.
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, vanilla, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Pipe or spoon the filling generously into the center of each roll.
- Brush the bread edges with melted butter.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until filling is set and rolls are golden.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese to ensure a smooth, lump-free filling. Do not cut all the way through the bottom of the rolls to prevent leaks.
