Strawberry Base
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries Hulled and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar For strawberry base
  • ¼ cup water For syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice To prevent browning
Lemonade
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice About 6-8 large lemons
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar For lemonade
  • 6 cups cold water
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • fresh strawberry slices For garnish
  • lemon wheels For garnish

Method
 

  1. Strawberries with sugar, water, lemon juice 10 minutes
  2. Strawberry mixture 8-10 minutes until soft and fragrant
  3. For smooth syrup or mash for chunky texture
  4. Strawberry base completely before mixing
  5. Sugar in fresh lemon juice in large pitcher
  6. Cooled strawberry base with lemon mixture
  7. Cold water slowly while stirring to combine
  8. With ice cubes, serve with fresh garnishes
