Ingredients

Strawberry Base

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries - Hulled and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar - For strawberry base
  • ¼ cup water - For syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice - To prevent browning

Lemonade

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice - About 6-8 large lemons
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar - For lemonade
  • 6 cups cold water
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • fresh strawberry slices - For garnish
  • lemon wheels - For garnish
  • fresh mint sprigs - Optional garnish

Instructions 

  • Strawberries with sugar, water, lemon juice 10 minutes
  • Strawberry mixture 8-10 minutes until soft and fragrant
  • For smooth syrup or mash for chunky texture
  • Strawberry base completely before mixing
  • Sugar in fresh lemon juice in large pitcher
  • Cooled strawberry base with lemon mixture
  • Cold water slowly while stirring to combine
  • With ice cubes, serve with fresh garnishes

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness to taste and swap garnishes to your preference.
