Ingredients
  

Alcoholic Version
  • 2 oz Midori melon liqueur Or any green melon liqueur
  • 2 oz pineapple juice Fresh preferred
  • 4 oz champagne Or prosecco, chilled
Non-Alcoholic Version
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz lemon lime soda Sprite or 7UP
  • 2 oz sparkling water Adds bubbles
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice Optional tartness
  • 1 drop green food coloring If brighter color is desired
Garnish
  • 1 lime wedge For rimming and garnish
  • 1 tablespoon red sanding sugar For rim
  • 1 tablespoon green sanding sugar For rim
  • 3 fresh cranberries Optional, for float garnish
  • 1 candy cane For visual and flavor garnish
  • 1 maraschino cherry Optional “Grinch heart” garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Champagne flute Or any tall drink glass
  • 1 Jigger For measuring ounces accurately
  • 1 Citrus juicer For fresh lime juice (optional)
  • 1 Shallow plate For rimming glass with sugar
  • 1 Ice bucket To chill champagne or prosecco
  • 1 Pitcher For batching juice base if needed

Method
 

  1. Run lime wedge around glass rim and dip in red and green sanding sugar.
  2. Pour Midori and pineapple juice into glass.
  3. Top with chilled champagne or prosecco gently.
  4. For non-alcoholic: mix pineapple juice, soda, sparkling water, and lime juice.
  5. Add green food coloring if needed.
  6. Garnish with lime wedge, cranberries, candy cane, or cherry as desired.
  7. Serve immediately while cold and bubbly.

Notes

To make this a party favorite, pre-rim glasses and batch the juice base ahead of time. Serve cold and enjoy the Grinchy holiday vibes!
