Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs Ground beef 80/20 For best flavor and moisture
  • 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix The star seasoning
  • 1 cup Fresh bread crumbs Soaked in milk for moisture
  • 2 large Eggs Binds the mixture
  • ½ cup Milk For soaking bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup Ketchup For glaze and moisture
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Adds depth of flavor
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper For seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder Enhances savory flavor
For the Glaze:
  • ½ cup Ketchup Base for the glaze
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar Adds sweetness and caramelization
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce Balances the glaze
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard Adds tangy flavor
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper For a hint of spice

Equipment

  • 9x5-inch loaf pan Metal or glass, lined with parchment paper

Method
 

Preheat Oven & Prep Pan:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mix Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Lipton onion soup mix, soaked bread crumbs, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Mix gently until just combined.
Shape & Add Glaze:
  1. Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan, shaping it evenly.
  2. Mix glaze ingredients in a small bowl and spread half over the meatloaf.
Bake:
  1. Bake for 1 hour, adding the remaining glaze halfway through.
  2. Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer (160°F).
Rest & Serve:
  1. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
