Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour Sifted
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ cup Buttermilk Room temperature
  • 2 Eggs Lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Pure
  • ½ cup Melted butter Unsalted
Cinnamon Swirl:
  • ¼ cup Soft butter Unsalted
  • ½ cup Brown sugar Packed
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon Nutmeg Optional
Cream Cheese Glaze:
  • 2 oz Cream cheese Softened
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar Sifted
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoon Milk or cream Adjust for consistency

Equipment

  • 12 cup muffin tin Standard size
  • 2 Mixing bowls One large, one medium
  • 1 Whisk For mixing dry ingredients
  • 1 Rubber spatula For folding batter
  • 1 Ice cream scoop For even muffin portions
  • 1 Cooling rack For cooling muffins
  • 1 Toothpick For swirling cinnamon mixtur

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line muffin tin.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently.
  5. Mix cinnamon swirl ingredients in a small bowl.
  6. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter.
  7. Add a spoonful of cinnamon swirl, then top with remaining batter.
  8. Swirl with a toothpick for a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  11. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  12. Drizzle glaze over warm muffins and serve.
