Ingredients

For the Cabbage Steaks

  • 1 head Green cabbage - 2–3 lbs, cut into 1-inch steaks
  • ¼ cup Olive oil - Divided
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika - Adds depth
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Red pepper flakes - Optional heat

For Serving (Optional)

  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice - Freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese - Grated
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh parsley - Chopped
  • 1 drizzle Balsamic glaze - Optional

Instructions 

  • Remove outer leaves and slice cabbage into 1-inch steaks through the core.
  • Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat both sides of each cabbage slice generously with seasoned oil.
  • Place steaks on a baking sheet with space between; roast at 425°F for 15 minutes.
  • Flip carefully, brush with remaining oil, and roast 15–20 more minutes until caramelized.
  • Add lemon, parsley, and Parmesan; serve hot.
