Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz spiced rum chilled if possible
  • 1 oz vanilla vodka optional
  • 2 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 oz root beer very cold
  • 1 cup ice cubes as needed
  • 2 tablespoon whipped cream for topping
  • 1 maraschino cherry for garnish

Method
 

  1. Add rum, (optional) vodka, heavy cream, and vanilla to a shaker with ice; shake 10–15 seconds.
  2. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  3. Pour/strain the rum-cream mixture over ice.
  4. Slowly add root beer; stir once gently.
  5. Top with whipped cream and a cherry. Serve right away.

Notes

Swap vanilla vodka with more spiced rum if desired. You can also freeze root beer into cubes for an extra chill without dilution.
