Method
- Add rum, (optional) vodka, heavy cream, and vanilla to a shaker with ice; shake 10–15 seconds.
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Pour/strain the rum-cream mixture over ice.
- Slowly add root beer; stir once gently.
- Top with whipped cream and a cherry. Serve right away.
Notes
Swap vanilla vodka with more spiced rum if desired. You can also freeze root beer into cubes for an extra chill without dilution.
