  • 2 oz vodka Or vanilla vodka
  • 1.5 oz coffee liqueur Kahlúa works best
  • 2 oz heavy whipping cream Chilled
  • 1 tablespoon molasses Unsulphured
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger For spice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon Plus extra for garnish
  • 1 pinch ground cloves Optional
  • 1 dollop whipped cream For topping
  • 1 cinnamon stick Garnish
  • 1 star cookie Garnish

  • 1 Rocks glass Short glass
  • 1 Small whisk For cream
  • 1 Bar spoon For layering

Method
 

  1. Whisk heavy cream, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves in a jar until slightly thickened.
  2. Fill a rocks glass with ice and pour in the vodka and coffee liqueur; stir gently.
  3. Slowly pour the spiced cream over the back of a spoon to layer it on top of the liquor.
  4. Top with whipped cream, a cinnamon stick, and a star cookie.

Notes

Pour the cream over the back of a spoon to achieve perfect layers. Use vanilla vodka for extra cookie flavor.
