Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef - 80/20 blend
  • ½ pound bacon - cooked crispy
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese - sharp
  • ½ cup mayonnaise - for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper - coarsely ground
  • 4 brioche buns - toasted

Instructions

  • Shape the ground beef into thick patties and season the outside with garlic and onion powder.
  • Sear the patties in a very hot cast iron skillet for 4 minutes per side.
  • Top each patty with a slice of cheddar and allow it to melt completely.
  • Mix the mayonnaise and black pepper to create the signature burger sauce.
  • Stack the patty on a toasted bun with bacon and a generous smear of sauce.

Notes

Use 80/20 ground beef for the juiciest results. Toast the buns in the leftover bacon fat for a professional restaurant-style flavor.
