Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 chicken breasts - 6–8 oz each, boneless skinless
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper - optional

For the Toppings

  • 8 slices bacon - thick-cut, cooked crisp
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese - shredded, sharp
  • ¾ cup BBQ sauce - your favorite brand
  • 2 tablespoon parsley - chopped, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon green onions - sliced

Instructions 

  • Pound and season breasts evenly.
  • Bake to 155°F before toppings.
  • Pan-fry until crisp but pliable.
  • Brush BBQ, add bacon and cheese.
  • Melt cheese and finish to 165°F.
  • Let rest, garnish, and serve.
