Ingredients

Cake Base

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups milk - Room temperature
  • ¼ cup butter - Melted
  • 1 large egg

Cinnamon Swirl

  • 1 cup butter - Softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar - Packed
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese - Softened

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease 9x13 inch baking pan
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder in large bowl
  • Whisk milk, melted butter, vanilla, and egg in separate bowl
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry, stir until just combined
  • Spread half the batter in prepared pan
  • Mix cinnamon filling ingredients, drop over batter
  • Use knife to swirl cinnamon mixture through batter
  • Add remaining batter, swirl again gently
  • Cook 28-32 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean
  • Let cool 10 minutes while preparing glaze
  • Beat cream cheese, add powdered sugar and milk gradually
  • Pour warm glaze over slightly cooled cake
