  • pure maple syrup - warmed
  • fresh berries - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • whipped cream - optional
  • fresh mint leaves - garnish

Instructions 

  • Plate toast, dust with powdered sugar, add fresh berries, drizzle syrup, and garnish with mint leaves or whipped cream.
  • Prep Bread – Slice thick bread and let sit out to dry slightly for better absorption.
  • Soak Bread – Dip bread slices into custard for 20–30 seconds per side, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Heat Pan – Warm a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat and melt butter.
  • Cook Toast – Place slices onto skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Repeat Batch – Add a little butter between batches to ensure each slice cooks evenly.
  • Serve Warm – Plate toast, dust with powdered sugar, add fresh berries, drizzle syrup, and garnish with mint leaves or whipped cream.
