Ingredients

  • ½ cup Unsalted butter Melted
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Pure extract
  • cup Cocoa powder Unsweetened
  • ½ cup All-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1 cup Fresh strawberries Sliced and dried
  • ½ cup Chocolate chips Semi-sweet

Equipment

  • 1 Baking pan 8x8 inch square
  • 1 Mixing bowl Large glass
  • 1 Offset spatula For spreading

Method

  1. Whisk the melted butter and granulated sugar together in a large bowl until smooth.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla until the batter is glossy.
  3. Fold the cocoa powder, flour, and salt into the mixture gently until just combined.
  4. Spread the batter into a lined square pan and press sliced strawberries into the top.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes until the center is set and the edges are firm.
  6. Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream in the microwave until the mixture is liquid.
  7. Wave a spoon over the cooled bars to create thin, professional chocolate zigzag lines.
  8. Top each square with a fresh berry half and chill before slicing into portions.

Notes

Pat sliced strawberries completely dry before adding to batter to prevent sogginess. For the cleanest drizzle, allow brownies to cool fully before decorating.
