Equipment

  • Belgian waffle maker (Regular waffle iron works too)
  • Large mixing bowl (For brownie batter)
  • Measuring cups (Liquid and dry measures)
  • Silicone spatula (For removing waffles safely)

Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix - 18.3 oz family size
  • 3 large eggs - One more than box directions
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil - Less than box directions
  • ¼ cup water - Room temperature
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips - Optional but recommended
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - Optional
  • cooking spray - For waffle iron

Instructions 

  • Preheat waffle iron, mix batter
  • Add chocolate chips, vanilla
  • Pour batter, close iron
  • Remove carefully, serve warm

Notes

For best results, slightly undercook the waffles if you like them extra fudgy. They crisp up a bit as they cool. You can freeze and reheat them too!
