  • 1 cup dark chocolate - chopped
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoon butter

Instructions 

Prepare the Cake Layers

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease and line two 9-inch pans.
  • Combine dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another.
  • Mix until smooth and bake for 30 minutes.

Make the Coconut Filling

  • Heat heavy cream and pour over shredded coconut.
  • Chill the mixture for at least 30 minutes.

Assemble the Cake

  • Spread the chilled coconut filling evenly between cake layers.
  • Stack layers carefully and chill the cake for 15 minutes.
