  • ½ cup Full-fat sour cream Can substitute coconut yogurt
  • ¾ cup Whole milk Room temperature
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Pure vanilla extract Use good quality

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cake pans with parchment.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with flour mix.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Frost as desired once completely cool.
