  • 1 Wire rack (For crispy bacon and even cooking)
  • 1 Rimmed sheet pan (To catch drippings)
  • 1 Meat thermometer (Ensures chicken reaches 165°F)
  • 1 Toothpicks (To secure bacon ends)
  • 1 Sharp knife (For clean slicing)

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 large boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper - optional

For the Bacon Wrap

  • 8–12 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Toothpicks - for securing

Instructions 

  • Heat oven to 400°F and prep baking rack.
  • Rub chicken with spice mix.
  • Secure chicken with bacon strips and toothpicks.
  • Lightly coat with oil, brown sugar, thyme.
  • Cook 25–30 minutes until 165°F internal temp.
  • Crisp bacon 2–3 mins if needed.
  • Let sit 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

You can prep this dish in advance and store it in the fridge before baking. Also works great with turkey bacon!
