Ingredients

  • ½ loaf angel food cake - Cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter - For frying

  • 1 cup powdered sugar - For glaze
  • 2 tablespoon milk - For glaze
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract - For glaze

Instructions 

  • Cut angel food cake into 1-inch cubes using a serrated knife.
  • Melt butter and oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry cake cubes for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Whisk 1 cup powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.
  • Dust fried bites with powdered sugar and drizzle with glaze before serving.

Notes

Watch the heat carefully while frying; angel food cake contains a lot of sugar and can burn quickly. Serve immediately for the best crispy texture.
