Equipment

  • 1 9x5 loaf pan ( A standard loaf pan works best for even baking)
  • 1 Large mixing bowl (To mix wet and dry ingredients)
  • 1 Fork or potato masher (For mashing the bananas, Max’s favorite tool!)

Ingredients

  • 2 Ripe bananas - the better!
  • 1 ½ cups Flour - Can substitute with whole wheat.
  • ½ cup Butter/oil Butter - Can use oil for dairy-free.
  • ½ cup Brown sugar - Adds moisture and flavor.
  • 1 Egg Large - Can substitute with flax egg.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract - Adds flavor depth.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda - Helps bread rise.
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt - Enhances sweetness.

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Grease loaf pan
  • Mash 2 ripe bananas
  • Mix wet ingredients (butter, sugar, egg, vanilla)
  • Mix dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt)
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients
  • Pour batter into pan and smooth top
  • Tap pan to release air bubbles
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes, check with a toothpick
  • Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack
