Welcome to Hannah Cooking! Since our launch, we’ve been dedicated to sharing easy, well-tested recipes for breakfast, dinner, dessert, and everything in between to inspire home cooks of all levels. On this page, you’ll find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions from our community. If you’re new here, start by browsing our recipe index, exploring our cooking tips, or learning more about what makes Hannah Cooking special!
Find the question you’re curious about to expand the answer. You can also ask recipe-specific questions by leaving a comment on the recipe post itself (pro tip: scroll through past reader comments at the bottom of a recipe page – your question might already be answered!).
Have a question we don’t cover here? Email us at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help!
How are your recipes tested?
We work hard to ensure our recipes for breakfast, dinner, and desserts are as reliable and delicious as possible! Each recipe is tested anywhere from 3 to 15 times by at least two different testers before it’s published. For bread and dessert recipes, we often test them with three or more people to ensure they’re foolproof.
We also test our recipes with different brands of ingredients and various kitchen tools to make sure they’ll work for as many home cooks as possible. Your success is our priority!
Do you make recipes for beginners?
Absolutely! At HannahCooking.com, we believe that anyone can whip up amazing breakfasts, hearty dinners, and indulgent desserts at home – no matter your experience level. Our recipes are designed to be approachable and include step-by-step instructions, helpful tips, and notes to guide you every step of the way.
If you’re unsure about a recipe or need a little extra support, just send us an email. We’re happy to recommend recipes that suit your skill level and help you succeed. Let’s make something delicious together!
I tried one of your recipes, and it didn’t work. What should I do?
If you run into trouble with a recipe, don’t worry – we’re here to help! The best way to get support is by:
- Leaving a comment directly on the recipe post.
- Emailing us.
Since we’re not in the kitchen with you, the more details you can provide, the better we can assist you. Here are a few things to include:
- Did you make any substitutions (e.g., gluten-free flour instead of all-purpose)?
- What brand(s) of ingredients did you use (e.g., some flours and salts vary widely by brand)?
- Are you new to a technique and need extra tips?
- Did you double-check the expiration dates on ingredients like yeast or baking powder?
If you simply say, “I didn’t like it,” it’ll be hard for us to help. Share as much info as you can, and we’ll do our best to troubleshoot with you!
Remember, cooking is a journey. It takes practice, patience, and a sprinkle of creativity. If you hit a snag, reach out. We’re always happy to guide you.
Do you provide nutrition information?
Yes! Most of our breakfast, dinner, and dessert recipes include approximate nutrition information at the bottom of the recipe card. Please note that this information is an estimate: the exact nutrition of a recipe can vary depending on ingredient brands, substitutions, and other factors.
We calculate nutrition data using a third-party program, but remember – it’s just a guideline! For personalized nutrition advice, consult your doctor or a registered dietitian.
Can I use a photo in my recipe roundup?
Yes, you MAY use a single photo on your personal blog or recipe roundup, as long as you credit HannahCooking.com as the photographer and include a link back to our original post.
However, there are a few things you CAN'T do:
- You MAY NOT repost our recipes. Reprinting our recipes discourages people from visiting our website (which supports us through traffic and income). Plus, all our content is protected by copyright, so copying it without permission is not only unkind but also illegal.
- You MAY NOT copy or print our photos for commercial distribution or personal use. All photos and writing on this website are copyright protected.
In short: If you use any of our content, please link back to the original post on HannahCooking.com.
